Reynolds Hospice House
"The Hospice House became a second home to our family."
Trinity Hospice
Lisa Turman stands on the porch of Baptist Reynolds Hospice House, where she and husband Danny spent their last and one of their best days together. "It meant so much to Danny to go through the front door of the Hospice House, like you are entering a home. And in his six weeks there, it did become a second home to our family. A week before he died we took Danny outside to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather. The ducks and birds, the pond - he was in his element. I wish I could describe the overwhelming feeling of peace we experienced. It was one of the best days we've ever had as a couple."
Life ends, love lasts
Your gift to Baptist Trinity Hospice provides compassionate care for pateints and families faced with a life-limiting illness. We are a not-for-profit health care system, and no one is turned away due to their inability to pay. We provide home care and residential hospice care to anyone who meets hospice criteria.
Baptist Reynolds Hospice House is a 24-bed facility that functions like a hospital but is home for those with a terminal illness. Since opening in 2010, more than 1,200 patients have been tenderly cared for here, and many of them have said, "We wish we had known about hospice sooner." Although you will enjoy the look and feel of the house, what makes it a home is more than nice artwork and a big stone fireplace. The heart of our home is our devoted team of doctors, nurses, social workers and chaplains who focus on maintaining the best possible quality of life by providing comfort, independence and dignity.
